Admission is by a two stage process:-

registration, where parents supply basic information about their child together with the date from which they are seeking a place and the attendance option required;

enrolment, where the school makes an offer of a place and acceptance is secured by payment of a deposit.

At times when the number of applications exceeds the number of places available the school maintains a waiting list. Position on the list is determined by the date on which a registration form is received by the school.

The overriding principle governing the admissions procedure of the school is the school’s equal opportunities policy. There is no assessment or selection process and no account is taken of gender or ethnicity in determining allocation of places.

Children with special needs will be accepted in all cases where any special arrangements necessary can be accommodated.

Children are admitted to the pre school in September, January and April. Admission to the primary school usually only takes place in September but, subject to place availability, the school will make every effort to accomodate children of primary school age who move into the area during the school year.

Parents may choose from a range of attendance options for their child.

The school is open for forty eight weeks a year, closing only for two weeks in August and two weeks at Christmas, and therefore children may attend either for the normal three terms of the academic year or on an all year basis. In addition, the school is open from 8am until 6pm each day and therefore parents can choose either the core teaching hours of 9am to 4pm or extended hours of 8am to 6pm.
Finally, parents of children in the pre school may choose morning or afternoon only attendance, or all day.
